Take a tour of inventiveness with designer, model maker, and artist Tom Ask. Tom will present ideas on how to merge inventing with model making. Tom will also be joined by his students Mary Hendon and Katheryn Juarez who will discuss the approaches to costume and prop design.

In this 15-minute workshop, we’ll go through a quick mindfulness exercise to bring you back to center. This simple exercise can be used anywhere at any time whenever you’re feeling stressed out or overwhelmed. By paying attention to our five senses, one at a time, we’ll come back to a grounded place in our body and mind. Practice regularly and you can even tap into your own ‘Spider-sense!’

The “Spidey and Me” presentation showcases one man’s obsession, connection, & immersion into all things "Spidey" these past 55 years! Bruce Wechtenhiser's collection and "stories" have been featured in various media over the past few years, captivating people with his passion and insight. Experience his emotional connection to the character (the hallmark of his collection) through stories (including interactions with comic book greats Stan Lee, Steve Ditko, & John Romita), photos, & rare items he brings for YOU to see! Get caught in the web of his love for Spidey!

In this 15-minute workshop, we’ll move like some of your favorite animals - gorilla, monkey, panther, and alligator to name a few! Movements are a combination of stretching and body-weight exercises. No experience is required - just an understanding of your own physical body and a desire to have fun!
